  1. Ive always wondered about the books--so many, so consistent, so architectural. Do you think she bought them, and installed them so graphically just as decoration? No slight to CC, in fact the vision off all those simple planky cases just as background to such fancy furniture is genius!

  2. I will look into this for you! I believe that she had many of them specially bound for the apartment and that many of them bare inscriptions from their authors to Coco, herself. I agree that they are an incredible material device.

    1. I was totally intrigued by these two very young people in such traditional and seemingly brand new raw pine library — looking more Georgian than French, in Paris! How did it all happen? Maybe they bought the apt with the library done this way? The books look very personal and collected... and yet they are all sort of color coordinated.
